Pensacola, FL to Crestview, FL
4/25/18
We left the Sole' Hotel in downtown Pensacola at 7:45 this morning. The Roads were quite busy for the first 20 miles. We traveled along the coast until we crossed 3 bridges in 3 miles at mile 13. We then started to head inland. Our first SAG stop was in the town of Pace at almost 20 miles. At mile 26 we turn off of the streets to the Blackwater Heritage State Trail. It was a pleasant bike trail that went further than the 7 miles we got to ride. We then turn on to some country roads. At mile 41 I stopped to take a picture of Juniper Creek. As I was standing on the bridge a man pulls up beside me on a three wheeled motorcycle. His name was Tom and he was from Pace, FL. After visiting for about 15 minutes he told me that the place to get the best meal is at Gator's in Baker, FL. and it only costs $8! The people I have met on this Journey have all been nice, genuine people like Tom that are always willing to help.
I arrived at the hotel at 12:30, showered and went to pick up some lunch. The temperature got to 78 degrees today.
Only 7 more riding days!
