Del Rio, TX to Brackettville, TX
4/2/18
This morning we got to sleep in because today was a short 33 miles. We had a quick map meeting at 10:15 and left at about 10:45. A chance of rain turned into a mist as we rode. The first 12 miles were on a nice smooth, wide shoulder. After that it went back to the rough chip seal shoulder. UGH! That vibration is maddening!
There was a lot of traffic today. Our only SAG was at 15miles and was on the side of the road. The next 18 miles weren't too bad except all of the sudden I was so hungry. My body must still be on high burn from yesterday. My legs are still recovering so I took it easy on them. I got to the motel at 1:15. I went to eat lunch and then came back to swim in the spring. It felt wonderful on my tired muscles.
Total Miles: 1436
Flats: 3
Ruined Tires: 1
