Day off in St Francisville
4/17/18
A day off after riding 100 miles was definitely needed. I took a shuttle into town at 8:30 and had breakfast. A sweet potato pancake with blueberries and a cup of coffee at a cute little diner. I then had a massage with a sports massage therapist. What a huge difference in relieving my muscle soreness. I then walked around St Francisville looking at all the old houses and buildings. The people here are so proud of their history. Every time I would walk into a store they would let me know when the building was built and what it use to be along with who owned it through the years. It was really awesome to see such pride in their community's history. I went to one of the 4 restaurants in town called the Magnolia Cafe' to have lunch with some of the other ladies on the tour. The shuttle back to the Butler Greenwood Plantation was at 3:30. After returning I got my biking gear together for the next day, washed my water bottles and wrote some post cards. Around 5 the electricity went out. It came back on at 8. Supper was on our own so I took a shuttle to the grocery store and bought sushi and watermelon for supper. We only have one more day off on the tour.
