Day off in Fredericksburg, TX

Today was a much needed day off. I got my laundry done, a massage and explored the town. Fredericksburg is quite the place. There were so many unique stores to shop in and so many places to eat. The area has many vineyards and each has tasting outlets on the main street. The city allows for you to drink your wine while walking down the main street as long as it is in plastic glass.

The German history here is evident in food offered and architecture. It also can be seen in more detail at the Pioneer museum.

I could not believe how busy this town was. So many tourists at this time of year surprised me. I would like to come back here when I would have more time.
