Tonto Basin, AZ to Globe, AZ

Breakfast time wasn't until 8 this morning. A little later start because it was only 52 miles today.  It was 40 degrees out and it looked like rain was headed our way. Most of us got our wool socks, long riding pants, gloves and rain jackets on. I left Tonto Basin shortly after 8. The roads were flat with some rollers in there too. The first SAG stop was at 19 miles. I had to start taking layers off because I was getting hot. After the SAG stop the climbing started. It was a long, slow climb. I stopped to take pictures but I don't feel the pictures show how far the climb was in actuality.
The second SAG stop was to be at 32 miles and after that I would still have 2 more miles of climb. I kept looking for the SAG car. Thinking that it would be around the next turn and dreading that I would still have 2 miles to climb after that. Then my GPS said "Top of climb". I was so surprised and thrilled that I was done with that climb!
Next was a 2 mile descent at 7%. Then a small climb and another 2 mile 7% descent.
The SAG car caught up to me at 40 miles. I filled water and rode off to finish the day. There was a head/side wind that could be tough at times. It was 52 degrees when I got to Globe.
