San Diego, CA to Alpine, CA

We started this morning meeting in the parking lot for breakfast and a route map meeting. It was a little chilly. I was excited and just wanted to start pedaling. We left for the 3 mile ride to Dog Beach as a group. We each dipped our back tires in the Pacific Ocean and then started our journey!

There was a nice bike path that kept us out of traffic for awhile. We also got to ride through a park path for a few miles. We then rode on Old Highway 8 the rest of the way. There were a few good climbs. Especially the one that brought us into Alpine.

Today was an awesome ride! The weather was gorgeous! No complaints about 72 with little wind. I left Dog Beach at 8:45 and got into Alpine at 12:15.
