Hellooo San Diego!
I arrived in San Diego yesterday. I have to admit just seeing the city as the plane was landing did make me a little nervous. The reality that this is really coming to fruition after so much planning is exciting!
The bike shop was only four miles from the airport. We headed over there to pick up Rudy. They had him ready to go. I had a few adjustments to make on seat height and aero bars position. I was anxious to go out for a ride. So when I got back to my mom's house in Oceanside I took a little ride around the neighborhood. Everything was in working order. Today I went for a twenty mile ride to see my old stomping grounds. I even rode past a house I use to live in when I was a kid.
I then spent time with family and enjoyed my favorite childhood fruit off the tree in my Mom's backyard. There is something special about going home to mom's houseđź’•
Tomorrow I meet the rest of the tour group at 1 at the hotel.
